Happy birthday my little chunky monkey!

Happy birthday to our baby boy! I seriously can't believe how fast that went! I am so sad that he is already 1. He has been the most mellow little boy ever! He is SO good. I still can do anything with him. I thought have 2 would be harder but it hasn't yet. I decided that I wanted to make him a dr Seuss cake. I LOVE dr Seuss and the kids love the books. My cousin and Layne and I, yes Brandon didn't pass the test, molded all the things for the cake. I was kinda nervous to make it but it turned out better then I thought it would. Derek didn't know what to think. I put him by it and he just started poking it with his pointer finger. He does that with everything. He actually got a taste and then he was in heaven. He just kept looking at me with this puzzled face. It was so funny watching him! Mylee was being so patient waiting for him to get all the pictures with it. She was so excited to sit and eat his cake with him once she got the ok.

I think Derek was so stoked in this picture cause he was hucking the books. So different then Mylee. She could sit and read all day and he can't stop moving!

I was cracking up! My had to get some pictures with her brother. She was just loving him and then the two heads collided!

I really can't believe that a full year has come and gone since little Derek came into our family! It is crazy how fast it went. Layne and I were laying in bed new years eve remembering a year ago. I wasn't progressing at all. There was me and another lady at uvrmc in the race to have the new years baby. I didn't think I would win but at 11:50 he decided it was time to come. I started pushing around 12:20 and he was here at 12:33. It was one of the funnest nights and I will never forget the spirit that was with us. He was a healthy little boy and has kept going that rate. He isn't walking yet. He totally could but he is so lazy to even care. He loves to torment his little sister! She will get her dolls set up just right and he crawls over so fast and destroys them! I don't know how we are going to discipline this kid. He hears nothing! He is into everything! He especially loves Quincy's dog food. That is where the most trouble happens. His nicknames are chubs, chubby boy and still beefcake. I kinda feel bad but I kinda really like it too. It is so cute hearing his big sister go tearing into his room when he wakes up yelling chubby boys awake! Those two can get wild! She crawls up into his crib and they are out of control. They are both jumping and laughing hysterical! I love it when they do that! He has a mouth full of teeth. They all decided to come in 2's or 4's! He loves his big sister and has to follow her around the house everywhere! I'm so glad that our little family was blessed with him! I really don't know what I would do without this little chubby boy! Sorry there are a million picts and novel to go with it. I am making books out of my blog so I don't want to forget things!

Mylee begs us to always dance with her! She is a complete girl and loves to get her move on.

She is such a daddy's girl. She comes out every night to have her dad rescue her from bedtime. Yes it gets old but I love the bond these two have!

So chubs, yes that is his nickname right now is into distroying everything! He can't just unroll the toilet paper he has to shred it! He is getting so busy right now. I love this stage though cause they are learning so much!

This is when you know your uncle loves you! I had Layne come and sit with the kids while I got some christmas shopping done and came home right in time for this picture. I was laughing so hard! He is such a good uncle to my kids and we love him so much!

Sledding on Derek's birthday!

My dad decided to hop on halfway down the hill with Kait so he didn't have to walk it. It was such a long hill! We were all cracking up when we saw him hitching a ride.

My mom and dad decided to ride down together. When you get going you fly too. Joel decided to give them a good shove and my mom was chewing him out. I was laughing so hard watching them. I hope Layne and I are still sledding together at 50!

This was seriously one of the funnest days I have had! We decided last minute to go up to Todd and Tara's house. I can say I'm totally jelous of their place. Their driveway was SO long! We would drive up to the top and sled down to the bottom. We went with Layne's side and some of my family came too! I didn't think we would stay way long but we ended up staying 5hrs! I seriously loved it! I'm wishing it would snow again so we can head up there again. It was Derek's birthday and I was wanting to do something fun for it. He went down a couple times with us and I think he liked it. Mylee loved it. She loved riding on the 4wheeler with her grandma Harris and on the rhino with grandpa Harris too. I can't believe how many kids and people were there. I think the adults had more fun then the kids. I went down everytime there was an open sled! I felt like a kid again. We all got alittle hungry and in courtesy of grandpa Oyler and Harris we ate little ceasars pizza off the back of the trucks. We had 2 trucks hawling everyone up the hill. Bert had his snowmobil and a sled on the back that the kids loved to do. It was a blast! Other then Heather driving the truck down and getting kinda stuck and Bryce flying off the path into a tree on his snowboard, there weren't any accidents! I almost peed my pants though the first time I went with my mom. I was on another sled to the side of her and I was laughing my head off! You get going pretty fast and she wiped out 3 times. It was so fun! At the end the boys decided to race. Of course there has to be some competition involved. They were flying! I think Scott won almost everytime though. If you were in their way, you got mowed down! That was by far the funnest winter thing we have done! Can't wait to go back up!

Carson

This is my funniest nephew Carson! He cracks us up. He is such a performer and loves to entertain. This was some of the entertainment during new years!

I'm sitting here updating our blog and I hear this little squeaky voice say "mom I need to push out a turd." Yes we have tought our daughter it is called a turd cause she gets poop and pee mixed up. Well she thinks they are the same thing. My mom about died laughing the first time she said that to her!

Derek's birthday cupcakes! I thought they turned out fun.

Karson is the funniest kid ever! The Jex's came over for a bit and he decided to sing michael jackson and jonny cash for them. Brady paid him a dollar and somehow he kept getting more and more. He thought it was pretty cool. We were laughing so hard at him! Quite the entertainer!

Happy New Years! We had such a fun and relaxing new years. Shel and Joel hosted us, even though Joel was in bed at 9! It was so fun though. He didn't get much sleep cause everyone kept going in there waking him up thinking it was funny. It kinda was too. We headed over there and played the wii all night and over ate on lots of good food! I want to make every year super fun for Derek cause he was born at 12:33 so I made him some cupcakes and we sang to him. It was cute, when it hit midnight the neighbors started fireworks and everyone was yelling happy new year and all the cousins starting saying happy birthday Derek. It was cute. We just hung out with my side and a couple cousins. We missed grandpa and grandma though this year! It was a fun new years!

camping in december

So I had been promising my sisters kids they could sleep over forever now and I owe her bad cause she is always taking mine overnight when we go places. I didn't really have much planned but it all fell into place when they came. Mylee follows the 2 older ones everywhere so I wasn't too worried. We decided to pull out my smore maker and make smores then Layne decided to pitch my tent he gave me for christmas! Yes he gave me a tent and that is a huge deal in our house! He is not a true camping type and I have begged him for 9yrs now! I finally got one! Anyways, our night was fun. They played dressups all night and got a sugar high from all the smores! It was so fun and I want to do another one soon!

you'll shoot your eye out

we decided that we were pretty bored and wanted to go shooting. joel and layne were going to go with my brothers but it didn't work out so they took us instead. i love to go shoot with layne. we have so much fun. it was pretty cold though. derek fell asleep on the way up so that was perfect and mylee adores shelleys girls so they sat in their car and played beauty shop the whole time. it was so fun to go and do something different. our men kept watching to make sure we were watching them from the car. shel and i were laughing. joel was teaching his two little girls how to shoot a bb gun. they loved it. mal didn't get back in the car hardly at all. i love being with layne. i'm glad he'll take me to go and do things like that and we just let the kids entertain each other in the cars. after there was a train when we were on our way home so layne ran up to joel's car and got us some hot chocolate. it was delicious! so fun!
