They rented a kanoe this year and the kids LOVED it! I never went out on it but Layne always wanted to take them.

We couldn't believe what a fish My was this year! If the weather was good, she was out in the water! She was doing tons of flips off Joel and I think that's what got her started!

Their sweet outfit layne and i found at target! we LOVED it and knew it fit them perfect! my favorite part of the trip was when joel came walking down in this outfit and gave us the nacho squeeze through the window! it was the highlight. we were laughing SO hard!

we look forward to lake powell every year! it is always a stress trying to keep all the kids safe but one of our funnest trips ever!!!

The kids LOVED corn this summer! They would have eaten it for every meal if I would have let them. They begged every park day to go to KFC and get corn for lunch. Kinda sad they knew where to get it!

The ONLY time Derek will sit still is when golf is on. He became obsessed with it around the time when he could walk. He would find any stick or wooden spoon and use it as his golf club. He loves golf and we don't know why. Layne loves it but we've never pushed it to him. We decided that it was time to get him a $5 plastic set from walmart. Best purchase ever! He plays with those things all the time!

I think I have the best family ever! My sister in law, Lori, taught a bunch of little girls dance for the year, free of charge! My family is the best. They always do everything for you. This is Mylee's first dance recital and she LOVED it! It was so funny watching her. She's sitting with Braylee and Karlie. So fun!

Roomies!

I LOVE these girls! We are missing Tiff and Lish. They went home the night I actually pulled out my camera. These are my college roomates minus 2. Who would have thought I would talk to them all the time! They are some of my favorite people. We went to park city for a couple nights and didn't stop laughing! All I can say is the poor dude in the sauna. I won't post pictures cause nobody will see me in a swiming suit on here but it was pretty funny. These guys are always willing to give you a good laugh! We did some fun shoping and tons of eating. I'm glad Liz didn't have a heart attack from all the blackies I left in the parking garage but man, it was pretty dang funny! Can't wait for next year. Every spring!

Mylee loves to dress up her brother! He is always getting his hair done. You can always tell when she's been the hairdresser cause it is so full of hairspray. Derek lets her do it cause he loves being with her.

Mylee loved playing in the rain. She didn't last long but she had fun.

So I went on a girls trip with some of my family! Let me tell you, they are completely nuts! I think I'm the only normal one of them all. Just kidding! They get me pretty crazy when I'm with them. We drove down to St. George in April. We got going and hit a BLIZZARD! so we decided to pull off at Beaver and spend the night. We luckily found a really nice hotel further in town. We were thinking of staying at one and it was full of truckers and was pretty getto! This was such a fun trip. That night we played truth or dare. We were so dumb but we were laughing the hole time! I love these trips cause my mom lets her wild side out and it's so fun. The bottom 2 picts are my mom and her baby sister. We were told to pack light and De came with a huge suitcase that took up a full seat. As you can see, my mom had hardly anything and we were laughing our heads off at the difference in them. De had 4 outfits for each day and 20 pairs of shoes and jewelry to match everything. The iron man was going on during the weekend that we were there and we decided to go watch it. It was pretty crazy! Those people that do it have some determination! I wish I had alittle of it. We were the crazies that stayed tell the very end. We went yard saling and drew names and had to find each other a treasure for the day. It ended up being pretty funny. I love that some of my very best friends are my family! We have so many funny stories to tell that I would go on forever. We got lots of free food and did plenty of yard saling to last me over for the year. Fun times!!!

Disneyland here we come!

It's a dang good thing we just got home from Disneyland! This trip happened because I was uploading my blog back in feb and saw all our Disneyland pictures. I was sitting at a park after and asked my friend Melissa if she would want to come with me. Layne was leaving out of town the next day so we decided to leave Thurs night, stay in vegas drive to our hotel friday and do disneyland sat then drive home sunday! Let me tell you, it was so completely worth it! I'm ready to do it again. My parents kept Derek for me and we left the park and went home and packed and left 2hrs later! It was so much fun having that one on one with My! We went swimming when we got to our hotel Friday and then spent the entire day in disneyland Sat. I wasn't ready to come home at all! It was so much fun to just decide last minute and pack our bags and go. We had lots of treats inside the park and had a really good time. Love this memory I have with my little girl!
