So we just colored easter eggs. My calls them eder eggs. She was so hyper when I showed her what we were doing. It was so fun watching her get that excited over it. I will definitely be doing this again next week. I think my girl is starting to learn to pose for the camera! I bought her cute apron from baby bintz! I love it on her and so does she.
Layne took me shooting the other weekend. I was supposed to stay home and paint my studio. I am trying to decide what to do in there and think I have figured out the painting situation. He mentioned shooting and the studio was out of my mind. I've never gone and I loved it. It was just so nice getting out and doing something different. Our two kids were in the truck. My had a movie on and Derek was sleeping. Didn't even have to pay for a tender for this date. Might have to go do it again!
So My has 5 little cousins on the Harris side that are all within 6mo of each other. The moms have decided to start trading and having little play dates. We are missing Karlie in these ones but they have SO much fun together. Mylee was a boss hog cause it was at our house but I was laughing so hard at them the whole time they were here.
I lined them up and painted their toes. They were in heaven. They didn't move!
No I'm not a bad mom letting my kid play out in the snow in her princess dress. She is SO stubborn!!!! I got so sick of her begging to go play in the sand box so I thought she would come right back inside once she felt how cold it was. Nope, she hung out out there for about 5min. Luckily the wind picked up and she came running in saying it was cold. She didn't bug me again after that!
She LOVES her baby Derek! He smiles like crazy when she is around him. He loves her. It is so fun to watch them interact together! She calls him baby Derek. She is our little mother hen to him. She is on Binky patrol all the time and he never gets too many squawks out. Even when she is rough with him he is smiling at her. I love that they have each other. I love watching them together! Derek is getting HUGE! His nickname around our house is beefcake. I love all his rolls. He is smiling and talking so much now. I swear it happened over night. This week has been crazy! They are both up all night with croup! I hate it! They can't breath and there is not much you can do for them. It has been a crazy week for me. I've had some medical tests and these two with croup. Layne has been working TONS! I am so grateful for the work right now, it's just kicking my butt with everything else going on. We are good though and hopefully will be back to normal soon. I'm headed to bed now. It is 12:40 in the morning and Layne just finished working. Yup, started this morning at 8. I better go get in so I can see him today:) If this post doesn't make sense you now know why. Goodnight!
