What I usually see

So this picture is how Mylee usually is talking to me lately! She is always chewing me out and telling me that I'm not her best friend anymore. Her dad usually is! Well I had to come in here and hurry and post what she just said to me. It melted my heart. I was just doing some Monday cleaning and finished cleaning the half bath toilets. She is potty training right now too. She said she had to pee so I told her to run to the toilet. We passed in the kitchen and when she got in the bathroom she yelled, "Thanks for cleaning the toilet for me mom!" I said "what?!" and she said it again. I was so happy. As a stay at home mom you don't get tons of recognition like when I used to work. It made my day that my 2yr old recognized I had just cleaned a toilet. It was so sweet. It didn't last too long though cause she was getting mad at me because she didn't want to take the toilet paper holder back in the bathroom.

I decided I needed to go downstairs and take some pictures of the kids! Moreso Derek. I have been meaning to get some of him forever. I only got him in this outfit cause he wasn't having it. I swear he is the best baby and he knew how bad I wanted pictures! Oh well. I will be heading down there on Monday. Here are my sweet kids! I finally am learning to get Mylee somewhat ready cause she always likes to pose when I go down there. I love doing this! I love trying to get their personalities on camera!

Random summer days

Ok....I have really slacked on this blog this summer. I want to make a book so I'm going to try and catch up. My sister decided to have a huge sleepover with a bunch of the cousins. She had a million kids sleep. She didn't only do this once but three times cause her husband was out of town so she decided to sleep under the stars. Mylee has so much fun with all her cousins. She never wants to go home from Shelley's. I kinda don't blame her though. There is always a party going on there!

So I have this organizer in Mylee and Dereks room to give us more space with their shoes. I couldn't find a couple pair of mine and one day I looked in there and Mylee had them nice and organized in her shoe holder. She loves to wear my shoes. She's pretty cordinated too.

Derek eating his first cheeto thanks to his uncle Scott. These are the best baby sitter! He will stay happy forever eating these. I don't really blame him though!

This has been one of my favorite things to do this summer! Swim!!!! Mylee loves her pool. Her dad brings over all her sand slides and she goes up and down them for hours. It is so fun. Derek wasn't too sure of his at first. I think after his body got numb from the hose water he started liking it better!

So my sister called me one Sunday night and said she was doing alittle concert in their backyard. She said she asked my brother, who's family loves to sing and play instruments to come and entertain us. When we got there we were laughing so hard cause she had her entire neighborhood and ward there! It was no little family get together! I was busting up. Me and Layne sat out in her rocks and watched all our families faces when the walked back there. They couldn't figure out who the heck all the people were. We were cracking up at their faces. I wondered at first how it was going to be but it actually ended up being such a fun night! They have the missionaries living with them and this missionary was so good at singing and playing the guitar! We could have listened to him all night. Scott and his family played and entertained us and it was so fun. They have a neighbor boy who did a little act thing and we were all laughing so hard. Mylee was sitting up front and she didn't take her eyes off him. She loved it. Thanks Shel for the fun night. She is always up to something!

This is one of my favorite places! I love going up to my parents cabin. My grandpa and grandma and uncle Jimmy came up. They just hang out for the day with us. The kids don't sleep all that great cause they are so wild but they love it. They play outside and get so dirty! Laynes parents ended up building a cabin just down the road from my parents so it's nice having it there too.

I can't remember what My is eating but she was SO tired. This was always happening! She ran so hard this summer. Always playing and no naps. We would always stay up late and party. She always fell asleep with icecream too. We pass glades and she begs us for icecream cones! That's pretty bad when your 2yr old knows where the icecream shop is! They have the best shorbets there and that was our summer treat this year.

This is my aunt DeAnne! Shouldn't have taken so many pictures of yourself on my camera cause it forsure is going to end up on my blog! She moved into a new house last fall and has a pool. Her girls called us over this summer to swim and we love it there! Mylee calls her grandma De. She loves going to grandma Des! DeAnne was always the crazy fun aunt when I was growing up and she still is the same. She is so fun to be around. There is always a party or prank going on if she is around. She is the one who taught me about short sheeting the beds and all that good stuff. She makes things so fun!

Derek hanging out while Mylee and mom swam at grandma De's. He is the best little boy ever! I can do anything with him. So glad that he is part of our family! The girls love to splash on the stairs and go down the little slide. My went down the big slide and I can't get her to go down it again! It goes pretty fast.

Here is my chunky monkey! This kid has so many rolls! I think he was 6mo here. He is such a chubby little boy and I love it! He is so mellow. Always waiting for you to look at him and gives you the biggest smiles! He loves attention. Mylee is all over him and he just laughs!

Dereks first cereal

Derek LOVES cereal. The first one was so messy! He is such a chunky boy! At his 6month appt. he weighed 20 pounds! He was in the 95% for his head, 75 for his weight and height. Everywhere we go I get comments on how big he is. Everyone is saying he is a big boy. I love having such a chunky monkey! He is so fun right now. This post is old but atleast it's on here.

the girls

These girls crack me up! They went with Shelley after we walked and she took them to the park. Look what they found. The only water there and they were soaked. Their clothes were drenched so they bucked down and had a hayday! I missed getting Kendra and Kynzlie but they were part of it too. Mylee had grass on every spot of her body! They are all so spunky and have the cutest personalities! I love just listening to them play together. Some good fights but they are such good little friends.

24th of July

Ok....so my grandma never lets you take her picture. I wasn't going to take my camera off of her until I got one. Well this is what she gave me. We were both laughing at the end. She is so stubburn! I know where I get it!

I love the parade. It's so fun just to be together as a family! My husband on the other hand hates it! He tries every year to get out of it. I'm just so glad we have kids now so the fight isn't as bad. This is another thing I have done since I was little and just love the atmosphere. I don't think I watch any of it cause we are just talking but it's still fun. After the parade we always go over to the park and have lunch. My grandparents usually come and my uncle Jimmy. Mylee is always asking where Jimmy is. I love seeing her have relationships with him and my grandparents.

Flag burning ceremony

I Love this time of the year! We went down and rode horses and then headed over to the flag burning ceremony. I think it is so cool. We hung out with my dad this year. He is so dang busy this time of the year. He is the city manager so he is always running around making sure everything goes good. We have always done all the fun things though throughout the week because of it. I love this picture of him with Derek. He is always helping and holding kids. He is such a good grandpa. I never really thought of how much I would enjoy watching my parents be grandparents but I love it. They are SO good to our kids! They love them and want to be around them whenever possible. I love that my kids have such a good relationship with them but I know it's because of the time they put into me and my little family! I hope that that's how I'll be when I am a grandma!
